WHAT IS A POST?

The first thing to understand is that the term POSTS on this site refers to ARTICLES which may be written by and attributed to any Teacher member of the site. The type of articles allowed are those which are educational or informative in nature to the singing and teaching community – therefore they are NOT adverts for your business although the author is allowed to include one or two relevant links to their Singing Teachers Directory Listing / Event Listing or site with further info on the subject contained in the article.

HOW DO I SUBMIT A POST / ARTICLE?

To submit a post you must be logged in to the Singing Teachers website. From within your control panel, go to the top menu + New and select Post. In the form provided, enter a short descriptive title in the TITLE field, then type or paste the text of your article in the main field. This section has a set of common menu items that you may use to enhance your article just like a standard word processor, including adding media items and links.

DO I NEED TO STRUCTURE MY ARTICLE?

The only thing we require other than ensuring the subject matter is relevant to the singing/teaching community and not just an advert for your product or service, is that you use the READ MORE tag after the first sentence or paragraph. This keeps things looking nice and neat on our articles listing page.

HOW DO I INCLUDE PHOTOGRAPHS / VIDEO TO THE ARTICLE?

To include an image, photograph, audio file or video to your article, click on ‘Add Media’. The pop up window will provide you with further options to either upload a file or link to one. Once you have uploaded the file from your computer or added the website address it resides on, click the ‘add to post’ button and your file will then appear in your article.

I HAVE WRITTEN / PASTED THE ARTICLE – NOW WHAT?

Once you have finished writing your article, scroll up the page, in the right hand column click the submit / publish button and your article will go in the queue for the admin to review. If suitable, it will be approved and appear in the article/posts section of the site.

WILL I BE CREDITED AS THE AUTHOR?

Any content, including articles, submitted and approved for publication on this site remain the copyright of the author. Although the article will display your username and publication date, we advise you to include your real or author name (if different) at the bottom of the article along with a link to your Singing Teachers Directory Listing and/or to your personal/business website or facebook business page.
