Thomas Humphreys BMus (Hons.), Baritone, studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he received the Leverhulme Undergraduate Award and the Lord and Lady Lurgan Trust Scholarship and was taught by Joy Mammen and Audrey Hyland.
In 2008, Thomas received 2nd place in the John Warner Memorial Award and reached the semi-finals of two international competitions (Internationales KÃ¤rntner Sparkasse Worthesee Musikstipendium and the Bromsgrove Festival.)
In 2010, he won second prize in the Royal Academy of Music Ludmilla Andrew Russian Song Competition and also reached the final of the Thelma King Award.
He is singing the role of Badger the Miner in Fantastic Mr Fox with Opera Holland Park in their 2010 season.
Other recent solo engagements have included performances of Stanfords Songs of the Fleet with the Hastings Philharmonic Choir, Handels Messiah in Rickmansworth, Stainers Crucifixion at the Electric Theatre, Guildford, Faurs Requiem and Haydns Nelson Mass with the Dorset Coast and Country Festival and Rossinis Petite Messe Solenelle with the Crowthorne Choral Society.
He has also sung with the Opera Holland Park chorus in La Forza del Destino in 2010, La Boheme in 2009 and Il Trovatore during the 2008 season.
