Paloma Bruces Singing Studio
Paloma Bruce (formerly Horlor) is an opera singer that has been teaching singing privately for over a decade in New Zealand and in the UK. After being based in London for 5 years, followed by time in Bristol, the studio is now based in Porirua, New Zealand.
Paloma teaches with a firm base in modern classical bel canto technique to develop safe use and understanding of vocal technique regardless of vocal style.
Paloma teaches both male and female singers of all voice types and who sing a variety of music from classical, opera, choral, music theatre, jazz, indie, urban, pop, rock and folk music.
Pupils include professional recording and touring artists, professional actors with leading roles in film and on television, singers preparing for music college auditions and exams. Paloma also specialises in helping absolute beginners who cannot sing in tune to find their vocal potential.
Her lessons are always the highlight of my week, and during our time together she has helped me to reach vocal achievements far beyond anything I could have hoped for when I first started singing. Palomas contagious enthusiasm and extraordinary teaching has taken what was at best a nice hobby and transformed it into a very real chance at a singing career’. – Daniel
