Just Sing London
Joanna Sudbury is a singing teacher and voice coach in South East London.
I offer singing lessons to people who are beginners or experienced and design my teaching to suit each individual student. Everyone learns in a different way, and you need not be able to read music to sing, although I can help you with this too if you would like.
I teach classical singing from the age of 11 onwards, but can teach musicianship and songs to younger people wishing to start earlier.
I aim to guide you to release your voice in a holistic way and believe that singing helps with so many other aspects of life such as confidence, self development and appreciation of music in general. I also have experience in teaching some Jazz and Musical Theatre too.
I aim to guide you to release your voice in a holistic way and believe that singing helps with so many other aspects of life such as confidence, self development and appreciation of music in general. I incorporate Alexander Technique and Yoga principles in relation to posture, breathing and hope that you can take this in to your life outside of the lesson.
I hold a Post graduate Diploma in Vocal and Opera Studies from the Royal Northern College of Music, and a Masters of Music in Singing, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Concert Singing from the University of London.
I have been teaching singing for 10 years, and also work with the education departments of Opera Companies, Orchestras, and Charities running singing groups and devising opera projects for people with dementia and special needs.
Lessons are held in West Norwood, within easy reach of Herne Hill, Tulse Hill, Crystal Palace and Streatham. I have a valid CRB.
I also run courses for beginners, intermediate singers and one for over 55’s. Choral MOT’s for those who need a boost prior to rejoining their choir and Chorusline – a beginner level community singing workshop during September at The Portico Gallery.
Visit my website if you would like more information about what I can offer you. I look forward to hearing from you.
