Geraldine McElearney

 Private Teachers

I teach singing from my studio near the centre of Nottingham and in a number of local schools. Students of any age and level of experience are welcome, and I work with them across a wide range of musical styles, including classical, musical theatre, folk and jazz. I can prepare students for exams, auditions and other performances. Music theory, history and notation reading are also available for those interested.

As well as teaching, I perform regularly as a singer, principally with local vocal female ensemble Mirabilé, and in other solo engagments. Learning and development both as a singer and a teacher is an ongoing commitment, and l study and undertake regular CPD in singing, teaching skills and voice pedagogy.

I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and the Association of Teachers of Singing. In 2004 I was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and in 2017, became a member of Council and Director of the British Voice Association.
