Caroline Kay Mouat
I studied singing in Paris at the Ecole Normale, the Conservatoire Nationale de Paris and did postraduate studies at the CNSM de Lyons and the Welsh College of Music and Drama.
I have been teaching voice for over 30 years, I teach children at a private school in Bath, at the University of Bath and also have a flourishing Saturday school for adults as well as working with people at my home in Bath for a bespoke individualised programme of study.
I am also the Director of and teach at Studio Aldernay which offers art based workshops: singing, drama, school musical projects, and later poetry, dance, architecture and sculpture in Aldernay and surrounding Channel Islands which led to becoming Director and Artistic Director at The Alderney Performing Arts Festival Foundation.
My aim is equip young singers with a sound technique, an ability to sight sing and above all to enjoy the confidence to sing in what ever capacity they choose.
I encourage adults to do the same. More recently I have been invited to give Master classes to adults who need to gain the skills of the Performer and to use those skills in a business context.
I regularly give recitals in order to do what I teach.
