A fantastic mix of music workshops, jamming sessions & relaxation in the southern French sunshine.
Nia is highly trained
and experienced within her field. She graduated from the Guildhall
School of Music & Drama as a Bachelor of Music specialising
in Jazz singing. She also teaches Jazz at the Glamorgan and Mediterranean
Summer Schools and at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Nia has since been
very active on the London Jazz scene including appearing at Ronnie
Scott’s, The 606 Jazz Club & The National Theatre. She
also headlined at the Cyprus “Paradise” Jazz Festival.
Nia’s
performances are fresh and interesting, and she is one of the
most exciting jazz singers on the scene today.

Workshops
will cover:-
- song writing, lyrics, chords, arranging and process
- vocal techniques and exploration into different ways of using
the voice
- tools for working
with a band and developing musicianship skills
- ensemble group singing from different styles and structures
- the fundamentals of close harmony arranging and analysis
- song structure & forms

working on existing repertoire (or finding one as
a beginner)

the interpretation and understanding of genres, lyrics and performance
- lyric writing to existing melodies & meloy writing to existing lyrics
Additionally Nia's band members will cover
- Basic Notation & chart writing/arranging
- Rhythm & feels (Notating Rhythms) |

Evenings
will include:-
- the opportunity to perform
- jam sessions to
try out ideas
- performances by Nia Lynn and her trio
All genres of music are covered and Nia is specialist in Jazz, Folk & Blues

Yoga & Reiki
Not only is Nia an accomplished singer and singing teacher she will provide yoga sessions in the morning, by the pool and as a Usui Reiki Ryoho practitioner she can also offer Reiki sessions.
(Please Note that there is a small charge for Reiki sessions).
