Welcome

Welcome to the home page of Jo Jingles Norwich area. My name is Beckie Clifton and I own the franchise for the Norwich area.

About Me

I recently purchased this franchise as I strongly believe in the benefits of Jo Jingles. My mum has taken my son Aaron to classes since he was six months old and I am absolutely amazed at his ability to clap and beat in time with the music and how advanced some of his other skills are.

At just two years old his speech is far more advanced than a lot of his peers and he can sing many songs all the way through - give or take a few words. A lot of his ability I have put down to his Jo Jingles classes.

Before I took over the franchise in June 2007, I was a peripatetic woodwind teacher, teaching flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone and bassoon, for a local authority in several different schools. The opportunity of working for myself and the thought of children being given the opportunity to learn the benefits of music at a really early age seemed exactly what I needed to do. So here I am.

I have a BMus(hons) degree in music and have always loved working and playing with children and to me music is and should always be fun. I have also worked with special needs children, providing music and movement workshops, so this IS my ideal job.

Jo Jingles Norwich Area

With my brilliant class teachers, Helen and Claire, we run classes throughout Norfolk, and include locations such as Wymondham, Long Stratton, Hethersett, Dereham, Thorpe St Andrew, Blofield and Norwich.

Helen has been a class teacher for Jo Jingles for four years now. She is really enthusiastic and the children love her.

She has extensive experience in child care, having been a child minder, and is used to singing to children.

Claire is our newest member of the team. She has trained as a nursery nurse so is used to interacting with young children. Claire also has lots of musical experience having played Clarinet, Alto Saxophone and Piano.

Helen, Claire and I work hard to ensure that music is made as much fun as possible for all our classes, as lets face it we PLAY music, so it should be enjoyable.

Testimonial

When I first started taking Thomas to Jo Jingles at 18 months he just sat and looked and was extremely clingy, although when he got home he would do the actions he had seen in the class.   As the weeks progressed he would go and get musical instruments out of the box, always the last mind you.   Thomas now 'commands the stage' by standing in the middle of the class to do 'Good Morning' and has a tremendous rhythm; his confidence has grown and grown and I have had so much fun taking him.

Thomas is now coming up to 4 years old and will soon be going to school so our sessions on a Monday are sadly coming to an end.

Thank you so much for giving us both so much pleasure.
