![]() Vicci Mitchell-Luker Vicci teaches singing, specialising in Music Theatre, with a strong technical approach using elements of Bel Canto, Voicecraft and Circle of Sound, married to a firm belief in the importance if interpretation, style and performance when approaching any song. Current and past students are touring the world, in the West End, or simply enjoying a wonderful hobby. Vicci currently works mainly with young professional music theatre performers, however, amateurs are welcome and her operatic experience (she trained at Guildhall as a clasical singing and is resident director at Harrow Opera) means that she does work with classical singers too. Vicci holds a DipGSM in classical singing and an ALCM in music theatre performance and is a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing and the Incorporated Society of Musicians. Extensive experience in Music Theatre and CLassical singing, with students in the West End, touring the world and just enjoying a wonderful hobby. Vicci has around 30 private students, half of whom are young professionals. Her work is based on a solid technical approach, blending elements of Bel Canto, Voicecraft and Circle of Sound. Her many directorial credits, both in opera and music theatre mean that she has an excellent understanding of performance styles and approaches to interpretation. Vicci also runs performance workshops (see website for details) and is a member of the cabaret trio "Menagerie a Trois". Josette Lesser writing in the Singer magazine sais this of Vicci's teaching style: "[Mitchell-Luker's] approach is bright, interesting and personable and I am stuck by her ability to engage the students whatever the subject matter. In the vocal classes, whether she is behind the piano accompanying, or getting the whole class to try a technique, nothing seems to escape her notice."
