![]() Sing Schnittke in The South of France Schnittke in the South of France 23-31 August 2008 A week’s choral workshop revolving around the concerto for choir by Alfred Schnittke for serious singers who want to sing and have fun in the south of France this August. Conducted by Errol Girdlestone, founder member of the Hilliard Ensemble, who conducts choral works, orchestral concerts and operas internationally. Errol has his own orchestra and professional and amateurs choirs in France and is a great choral director! The plan for the week involves five hours rehearsals a day (with one day off) and one or two performances at the end of the week in local churches. We can arrange accommodation in a holiday centre with swimming pool in the lovely mountain village an hour out of Nice where we will rehearse. Cost: 220 euros non–residential and 620 euros residential (this includes eight nights accommodation and half-board in twin or double rooms with private facilities) You need to be a good sight reader and be able to prepare the work before you arrive. We still have places for all voices so if you want to know more, please contact Kate Cobb, the choir organiser, as soon as possible.
