Rochelle Hart
Are you new to singing and want to start developing your skills in a friendly and comforting environment? Are you someone who used to sing, but gave up for whatever reason in the past? Do you want to rekindle your passion for music but dont know where to start?
Rochelle Hart is an international performer who studied opera and musical theatre at University of Oregon in the USA. Her 15+ years of musical experience, as a performer, teacher and hobbyist, can help you discover the joys of music and give you the grounding to turn your interest into a true skill.
Rochelle has been in several choirs, from youth to professional standard, and is a seasoned soloist. Her experience ranges in everything from choral music, arias and oratorios to opera and musical theatre. She has worked with several world-renowned conductors and has been a part of a number of productions including: The Mikado, Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Annie and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. She also spent several years in the US teaching children and older beginners the joy of Musical Theatre and Jazz at local Community Schools, as well as singing solos at weddings and birthdays.
During your lessons you can expect to achieve:
Building a proper technique
Learning the theory behind what you’re singing
Increasing your breath support
Widening your vocal range
Developing control over your voice (breaks, pitch problems, power, etc)
Knowing how to select voice-appropriate music
Because Rochelle has been trained in a variety of dialects, she can also help you sing in foreign languages from Italian to Romanian.
Music will be provided at the lesson, and photocopies of songs can be made on site.
Prices are 15 GBP half hour, 25 GBP hour
All ages welcome (for children under 16, parents are required to be in attendance).
Weekends OK!
Please note: a 24-hour cancellation policy applies. This is standard for industry voice teachers.
