Lauren Derwent
Lauren (BA Hons Jazz Music) was the leading vocalist and percussionist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for 5 years. She is experienced in both teaching and as a professional performer/songwriter. She currently teaches singing at Stage Arts Theatre School, Knights Templar secondary school/specialist music college (Hertfordshire), the Woolmer Music Group, and has performed in venues all over the UK, and in the US (vocals. piano and percussion). Lauren has studied singing with Angela Elliot (taught by Bobby McFerrin) and Stevie Vann Lang (Blue, Sugarbabes, and many more), and is currently offering singing lessons on a one-to-one basis. Specialising in Jazz/Pop music and vocal technique, Lauren likes to adopt an informal approach to teaching, so the student feels relaxed in the comfort of their own home, and also to encourage confidence, and most of all, enjoyment. Lessons at students home. Rates 30.00 GBP per hour, 15.00 GBP per half hour.
