I've been singing for a number of years, and found Jane to be a great teacher. She is especially good at helping people to express themselves whilst singing, and is very supportive and encouraging.

Jane is a great teacher, patient and encouraging, she works with you to develop and strengthen your natural voice rather than force a proficient but generic one.
She teaches techniques that increase range and control in a fun and informally structured lesson.

i have found Jane's method of teaching very useful and enjoyable at the same time. i come from a rock/punk background and so never really believed in the past that you could benefit from singing lessons. my main fear was that they could change or interfere with your own style of singing. Jane has more than proved to me that that's not true. she is very capable of coaching you through her method still respecting your personal taste in singing. she provided me with tools to sing in my own style without damaging my throat. i think as a person she has been very open and receptive regarding my world and my taste in music. as a teacher she has pushed me and challenged me sometimes without me even noticing. i find the lessons and exercises very useful. they have helped my tuning,streched my range and provided me with a support that allows me to sing without straining or loosing my voice. jane has also put me in contact with a different voice i had inside but wasn't aware of,giving me that way more choice in the way i approach my singing. i think she is also a very intuitive and understanding teacher.

I was lucky enough to stumble across Jane's profile on a website when I was looking to start lessons as a complete novice. Right from the off I knew I was onto a brilliant teacher. Jane takes great care to develop your voice safely and although I knew my vocal chords had been give a thorough work out, I never felt any strain or damage. She really does know her stuff and listens to what you want to achieve. She has good resources including a vast range of music to choose from.
Sadly I no longer live in London, and having been thoroughly spoilt in having Jane as a teacher have been unable to find anyone anywhere near to her standard since moving. I can't recommend her enough.

Jane is a wonderful teacher and what is more her method works! Jane has a way of pushing you and making you work and at the same time making you feel at ease which enables you to feel free and increases self confidence. The lessons are fun and the joy of actually 'discovering' your voice is one that I have only ever found with Jane. I highly recommend Jane as a singing teacher. Her rates are competitive, her results speak for themselves and the lessons are an absolute joy. Thanks Jane!

I am not a nervous person, but I am a nervous singer. Jane put me at ease from the start. She is extremely professional and yet friendly and approachable. She'll explain everything to you, step by step with demonstrations and record the whole class so that you can practice at home. I am pleased to say that not only can I count on Jane as a fantastic teacher but also a friend.

Jane has been my singing teacher now for over 6 years. When I first started with her my signing voice was OK but very limited. In the time I have worked with Jane my voice has grown and developed to a level I would never have thought I could achieve. Jane has an amazing ability to encourage you and push you just that little bit further achieving amazing results. She’s also great fun to be around with which really makes a difference to your learning. She really knows her stuff!

Jane is a fantastic teacher. She has a great knowledge and understanding of how the singing voice should sound. She works on the specific needs of the individual. She is 100% dedicated and ensures that her pupils reach their potential. Jane not only teaches the technical side of singing, but also performance skills. I highly recommend her.

Jane de Florez is a truly wonderful singing teacher - not only does she teach a tangible, logical and coherent technique she also inspires and gives confidence. When I first went to Jane I had a phobia about singing in public - having performed all my life as an actress it was hard to accept that I was some how scared of singing in front of other people - with her help I learnt to sing and overcame my phobia - ending up auditioning for Phantom of the Opera and actually singing at Wilton's Music Hall. I have just completed a role in Noel Coward's Red Peppers singing and tap dancing (although Jane didn't teach me the latter!) without a single twinge of fear. Any one who really wants to both learn to sing and also learn the confidence to do it in public should sign up with Jane asap!
