 Emma Jane Sweeney Emma is trained actress and singer and a graduate from Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Acting Musical Theatre. In addition she received vocal coaching for the last 10 years and continues to have refresher sessions to maintain vocal health. Her teaching has been influenced by Bel canto and Gillian Keys and believes in maintaining a healthy voice. Her one to one classes consist of a warm up looking at technique to support the sung voice and help with any voice defects that the individual may have. The second half of the lesson is singing a chosen song/s, tackling any problem areas (high notes, sustained notes, strength /energy), working on the performance whether it is just for fun, an audition or preparing for a show/concert. All styles are covered from pop to musical theatre. Emma has also entered a number of pupils for LAMDA exams and they have achieved high Merit scores and Distinctions. She is also starting to work with a few pupils on the Trinity College Rock School Exams. Emma currently teaches Singing at Theatre Train (Brentwood) and is taking on new pupils for singing and acting lessons at home. As a performer she has experience of singing in concerts and musicals.
