Chiranjib Chakraborty

CHIRANJIB CHAKRABORTY, one of the top ranking vocalist of Indian classical music in Europe, disciple of Pandit Nidan Bandhu Banerjee, Pandit Arun Bhaduri and Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He is also learning Karnatic vocal music from the Maestro Padmabhushan Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna.

As a vocalist, he has performed in many major music festivals throughout India and abroad. He is currently living in London and established “Sangeet Kala Academy”, an Institute of art and culture for the younger generation. He also presently works for Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as a Lecturer for the B. Mus. Degree course under the auspices of Trinity College of London.

He has recently been honoured as “Fellow” (FTCL) by Trinity College of London in Indian Vocal Music.
