Singing tuition. Non-classical genres. Beginners to advanced. Friendly, experienced teacher. Sessions normally last 30 or 60 minutes. Fee for one to one session: 30.00 GBP per hour; 15.00 GBP per half hour.

Cath Coombs is a professional singer and singing teacher based in Cambridge, UK. Her training as a teacher is based in the Therapeutic Voice Coaching of Felicity Cook and has also drawn on the Estill Voice Sytems and the Husler Tradtion. Tuition centres on freeing the body, building breath support, releasing tension in the throat and addressing confidence issues, all to release a resonant, natural sound.

As a singer/performer she works with World Reggae Dance Fusion Band Horace X with whom she has toured the UK and Canada. (See Horacex which includes tracks from their latest album "Strategy" and the 2006 live session on Andy Kershaw's Radio 3 World Music Session)

She also has her own band Cath Coombs & the Awesome Soul Collective with whom she performs interpretations of classic Aretha Franklin back catalogue as well as her own compositions.

Other bands she currently performs with are "Capricorn" (goatfunk) and Cath Coombs and the Funk/Soul Experience which can be seen live at La Raza, Rose Crescent in Cambridge on the 2nd Wednesday and last Tuesday of every month.
